Product Description

Beginners & Refreshers Sewing Workshop

This class is designed for absolute beginners and those who want a refresher in sewing. You’ll learn how to set up and confidently use a sewing machine while making your very first stitches.

During the workshop, you will:

  • Get to know the parts of a sewing machine and how they work

  • Learn how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin

  • Practice stitching straight lines, curves, and corners

  • Use of various sewing machine feet

  • Embroidery stitches on the sewing machine 

  • Understand basic troubleshooting (tension, needles, threads)

  • Create a patchwork quilt project to take home

Included in this workshop
Fabric pre cut, threads and wadding
Use of Janome Digital Sewing machines M100 QDC

There is limited on-street parking in Stapleford  so we recommend one of the Broxtowe council carparks the nearest being Halls Road (2 minute walk)   https://www.broxtowe.gov.uk/for-you/roads-parking-travel/car-parks/stapleford-car-parks/ 

If you are arriving from Nottingham or Derby via the Trent Barton I4 the stop is Halls Road.
