BEGINNERS MACHINE SEWING MAKE A CUSHION
TIME: 10am to 12pm
PATTERN: Design own pattern
SIZE: Any size you like
SEWING LEVEL: beginner
New to machine sewing or a bit rusty.
In this workshop you will cover the following techniques:
- Thread up your machine
- Wind on a bobbin
- Understand stitch tension, length and width on both the digital sewing machine and overlocker
- Sew straight lines and corners using a seam allowance
- Make a pattern template
- Finishing seams using the overlocker
Pattern paper to make own cushion pattern
Use of digital sewing machines, scissors and all equipment
Tea / Coffee & biscuits
You will need to bring
1 metre of fabric or an couple of metres to made one or two cushions
Cotton, Poly cotton, any scapes or fat quarters
Thread, ribbons and trims
Janome Digital Sewing machines M100 QDC and overlock 6234XL, coverstitch machines Coverpro 2000CPX
Tea / Coffee & Biscuit
The workshop will start at 7pm . Please arrive ten minutes early to register and a cuppa. Please note our new sewing studio is now ready to use. The address is as follows:

If you are arriving from Nottingham or Derby via the Trent Barton I4 the stop is Halls Road.
