Perfect for intermediate sewists, this course covers essential techniques such as working with denim, mastering topstitching, inserting pockets, and creating professional finishes like waistbands and fly zippers.

Workshop Includes:
- Matching Gutterman Sew all and top stitch denim threads
- Denim skirt Pattern and Instructions (choose from Cashmerette Ellis skirt sewing pattern size 12 to 32 or the Merchant and Mills Clementine skirt sewing pattern)
- Cotton Interfacing.
- Zip
- Jean Buttons or your can bring your own 17mm
- Use of Janome Digital Sewing machines M100 QDC or Janome 6700 and Janome 6234XL overlockers

Cashmerette Ellis skirt sewing pattern size 12 to 32
Classic denim gets a curve-friendly update with the Ellis Skirt! Designed for stretch wovens, you can customize your pattern for a flawless fit with two different pelvis options in “apple” or “pear” shapes. Add a shaped yoke, fitted waistband and tailored back darts for a skirt you’ll love.
View A is styled like an iconic jean skirt, featuring a knee-length hem, front slit, rivets, belt loops, and rounded 5-pocket design, while View B is a flirty mini-skirt with clever diagonal pockets and topstitching detail.
Fabric is Bring:
Main: Mid- to heavy-weight stretch woven fabrics such as denim (10 – 12 oz), corduroy, or canvas, with at least 15% stretch across the grain.
Lining: non-stretch cotton for pockets lining

There is limited on-street parking in Stapleford so we recommend one of the Broxtowe council carparks the nearest being Halls Road (2 minute walk) https://www.broxtowe.gov.uk/for-you/roads-parking-travel/car-parks/stapleford-car-parks/ Free all day parking Saturday and Sundays
If you are arriving from Nottingham or Derby via the Trent Barton I4 the stop is Halls Road.
