LEARN TO SEW C0NCEALED ZIP / CUSHION
TIME: 7.00pm to 9.30pm
You will learn all about zips, the anatomy of them, the tools you need to put them in, the different kinds of zips you can buy. You will practice inserting them and then you will design and make a cushion. You can make your cushion as big or small as you want.
You know how many people are petrified of putting in zips? Even experienced seamstresses? Well, you will not be one of them!

You will need to bring
1 metre of fabric or an couple of metres to made one or two cushions
You will learn
- How to navigate around a piece of fabric
- How to use a paper pattern/template and pin it onto your fabric
- How to accurately cut fabric
- Insert an invisible zip
- How to set up and thread a sewing machine and wind the bobbin
- How to sew simple seams
- How to finish off raw edges
- Use the overlocker
- Free parking after 4pm in Halls Road car park, or there is some on free street parking
The workshop will start at 7pm . Please arrive ten minutes early to register and a cuppa. Please note our new sewing studio is now ready to use. The address is as follows:
