During the workshop you will learn:

• Walking Foot – sewing multiple layers, quilting, and matching fabrics
• Zipper Foot – inserting zips and sewing close to edges
• Invisible Zip Foot – creating neat professional invisible zips
• Buttonhole Foot – achieving consistent buttonholes
• Blind Hem Foot – creating almost invisible hems
• Overcasting Foot – finishing raw edges
• 1/4" Quilting Foot – accurate patchwork seams
• Piping Foot – making and inserting piping
• Gathering Foot – creating even gathers

• 6mm (1/4″) swimwear elastic or knit elastic for arm/neck/leg/waist openings, refer to
• Use of the Janome sewing machine 6700 and overlockers 
• Use of  sewing notions and fabrics

Travel

There is limited on-street parking in Stapleford  so we recommend one of the Broxtowe council carparks the nearest being Halls Road (2 minute walk)   https://www.broxtowe.gov.uk/for-you/roads-parking-travel/car-parks/stapleford-car-parks/  The care park is £1.00 all day Monday to Friday and Free Saturday and Sunday (please double the machine in the car park)

If you are arriving from Nottingham or Derby via the Trent Barton I4 the stop is Halls Road.

Tea/ coffee to make.  Plus lots of cafe's very near to Sewing B to purchase coffee/tea and food.
