Create your own supersoft, comfy joggers in this hands-on sewing workshop! Perfect for relaxing weekends, casual days, or as a cosy handmade gift.

During the class, you’ll learn how to:

• Sew with stretch knit fabrics for comfort and movement

• Construct a mid-rise waistband with adjustable drawcord

• Add functional hip pockets

• Finish cuffed ankles neatly for a professional look

This workshop is suitable for confident beginners and beyond — a great way to build your skills working with knit fabrics and activewear designs.

To Bring: 

• Unbrushed fleece – soft and cozy, perfect for casual wear

• French terry – lightweight, comfortable, and slightly stretchy

• Rugby knit – durable, medium-weight knit with a smooth finish

• Regular fleece – warm and soft, ideal for winter joggers

• Sweatshirt fleece / brushed back cotton – classic jogger material, soft inside

• Interlock knit – smooth, slightly stretchy, good for fitted joggers

• Jersey knit (medium to heavy weight) – soft and flexible, comfy for loungewear

• Cotton-spandex or cotton-elastane blends – adds stretch for movement

• Loopback sweatshirt fabric – similar to classic sweatshirts, soft and breathable

Choose a fabric that is soft, stretchy, and comfortable for everyday wear. Avoid very heavy or stiff fabrics, as they won’t drape or move as well. Make sure you have enough fabric for your size — and if you’re unsure, bring a little extra just in case.

We’ll also provide guidance on cutting, sewing, and finishing techniques to help you create a perfect pair of joggers.
